Barrington Gifts Tote & Travel bag -- Call to Order (478) 272-5112

Cheers to a wonderful weekend! Even though I'm not in school anymore, it feels like summer is ending as our area schools get ready to go back in the next week and a half. Doesn't it feel like this summer has just flown by? We've been so busy, and will continue to be through August and football season, but this weekend I'm taking some time to really organize my closets and pantry.

While you're relaxing this weekend, enjoy a sip of something delicious and scroll through the second set of photos from my photo shoot with Smith's and Mint of Dublin. I loved the lighting of this outdoor cocktail hour setting so much! Even the InstaStories of this was beautiful.

Two things I'm loving: the striped jumpsuit and the Barrington Gifts bags. The jumpsuit is the softest thing ever, and great for a date night during this warm weather! And I want to order these bags for myself--I have the tote in the brown pattern with navy monogram {for Georgia Southern games prior to the clear-bag rule}, but I love this white/gray pattern too! I'd like to see a navy and pink monogram personally, and the overnight bag is a really great size. Birthday presents anyone...?

Pink Pom Poms | Pineapple Top | Pineapple Tote | Navy One Shoulder | Gold Stripe Shorts | Navy Shift
First off, I will have that pink pom tank dress. It is absolutely precious. Secondly, did Lilly know I was already looking for game day clothes for this fall? So much gold and navy!

I love the gold foil pineapple t-shirt, but I also love all the other designs available as well: flamingos and multi-color pineapples included! Keeping with the pineapple trend is the cutest {and reversible!} gold pineapple tote. I'd love to carry this bag throughout the summer and into football season to coordinate with my navy and white Georgia Southern game outfits.

Speaking of game day outfits, I'm think that the navy ruffle one shoulder top paired with the gold and white stripe shorts will be perfect for a hot September Saturday! And the navy and gold shift works for games and the office in the summer, too!

What are your favorite summer pieces?

Weekend Recap: Game Day Getups

I just don't want to talk about it. Our last game, that is. Unfortunately the Eagles didn't pull a W for the last regular game of the season, but it was perfect weather for my oversized, golden cableknit sweater.

To be honest, I pick out almost all of my game day outfits for the whole season in August. That may seem weird, but I try to pick out my outfits on Sunday for the week ahead too, if possible. Here's a quick recap of the game day outfits I've loved this season, and where to get some of the pieces:

Crown & Ivy Spring 2015 dress

Cheeky Bliss Statesboro dress

Pixie pants in "gold miner" and gingham boyfriend popover from Old Navy
Navy vest from Entourage

Dress & vest from Entourage

Dress from Entourage
Monogrammed crossbody purse from Marley Lilly

Cable knit sweater from Talbots, color 2014.

Christmas Haul

I hope everyone had a very, merry Christmas last week! I enjoyed spending a few days with my mother and family in South Carolina, and a nice quiet weekend settling in back in with all of my new "loot." I was so blessed this year with so many interesting and thoughtful gifts that I wanted to share just a few of my favorites with you.

Thank you, Grandma Claus! I love my new mirrored coffee table. It really brightens up the room, and makes it looks so glam and beautiful! Also, Layla's ball doesn't get stuck under it a zillion times a day like the previous ottoman that was there, so that's a definite plus.

My mother has been using the Younique brand mascara for a few months now. I could definitely see a difference but hadn't tried it for myself until I found this in my stocking. Wowza! I have always had super long lashes, but now they are stunning. I have only been putting it on the top lashes because they get so long and think with just one coat of the fibers. I'm going to definitely do a before/after mini-tutorial soon, because the results are absolutely astounding! Younique is sold by individuals {kind of like Avon}, so look for a supplier in your area, or sign up yourself because it's really such a cool product.

Da da da da! It's....Might Purse! Literally the coolest wristlet ever. This cute, genuine leather {so soft!} wristlet charges your smartphone--up to four full times! How wonderful! My iPhone is always going dead, mostly because I charge it on my iPad charger, but still. This is little bag fits perfectly in my purse without adding much weight or taking up too much space. It has slots for a few ID/credit cards, room for your phone obviously, and keys, so this will definitely be my new go-to bag for nights out on the town. Now there's no worry that I won't get the perfect picture to Instagram because of a dead phone! Look for the Mighty Purse at boutiques near you.

Christopher's very first gifts to me three Christmas' ago were a cow Pillow Pet, and clip in feather hair pieces {a joke. I did not actually wear them. But I do love the cow!}, so it only seems fitting that he got me another great As-Seen-On-TV gift. The Spicy Shelf! I saw this at Walmart and really thought it would be helpful. My cabinets have a lot of space but they're super tall, and I'm not. So my spices would get all jumbled together right at the front where I could reach them, and then I'd forget what I had hidden in the back because I couldn't see. Problem solved! I used only one of the two Spicy Shelves included in the box, and put the other one in my bathroom for fingernail polish.

I hope Santa was good to you, and that you were able to spend time with your loved ones too, remembering the true Reason for the Season!

Bag Fairy: 2014 Edition

Okays, this is an exciting day. I have found a new request to send to the Bag Fairy.

This really only happens about once a year, and is a purse that I feel like is a true long-term investment {see last year's beautiful bag, here}. I try to acquire one higher end handbag each year that will last, and can be used through a variety of seasons. For example, my black Dooney from last year is my fall/winter bag, and the Michael Kors Hamilton tote from two years ago is my late summer/early fall and late winter/early spring transition bag. I tend to gravitate towards more neutral pieces that can be worn with a variety of outfits and in an array of settings.

Hello, beautiful! Metallics can be neutral, right? I need the beautiful bag. I love the color, the hand and shoulder strap options, and the very trendy Celine shape. It's a very roomy bag for all of my stuff {I have a rule that I must be able to fit a toddler in my bag. This can probably hold Layla, which works too.}, and is from the fabulous Jack Rogers team, so you know it's going to be great quality.

What kind of bags are you loving right now?
